Sample Sites

Here are links to some of our web site design briefs and design and hosting implementations.

Every one is quite different as each has been tailor-made to answer a specific brief, and to reflect the requirements of the individual business, profession or the organisation concerned. In every case control of cost has been a major factor in the project.

Immodicus are Architects and Interior Spatial Designers. The brief was for a sober and concise presentation with minimal but highly focused content that would raise the interest of suitable clients for more information via a personal contact. The client wanted to be able to alter basic content and images as time passed. The site also had to have a simple navigation structure and constant access to contact information through a common e-mail gateway. It was to be clean and lean on the surface with a few richer colour images one layer deep into the web.

Progress Travel had an entirely different set of requirements. The company retail and wholesales travel products and consulting services to individuals and small groups. They are a tailor-made travel expert and wished to stress their focus on Australasia and Round the World and Long-haul travel planning and booking. The key here was to provide only enough material to transmit this message but with an attractive site design that would be expandable over a year long project. It also had to frame content on a white ground with dark borders to accent the page content.

The MerryMen Ltd company originated as a response to the closure of a local public house in Cragg Vale. The local residents wanted to reopen the pub and other buildings, and formed a company and an incorporated club to achieve this. The key here was for a site design that reflected the brand image of the pub (Robin Hood) with both image and colouration. The style had to be easy and relaxed but informative, and deliver content to club members and help recruit new members.

The MadforTrad Syndicate is a traditional Jazz syndicate formed in the Fylde Coast region of Lancashire. They have around 80 regular members and have a very clear identity and purpose, to promote high quality professional and the best semi-professional Jazz bands to perform in the Fylde area. They wanted to reward the bands they feature and inform members, and assist other local and related Jazz venues and bands at the same time. The site had to be able to grow, be easily managed, and quick to navigate, and reflect the Fylde - blue skies and water. The site was and is dependent on the quality of the promotional material the jazz bands provide, which is typically quite poor - particularly the images they supply. We gared back the ‘style’ of the website to strike a less formal and offer a rather more folksy experience to their visitors and members alike. We also constructed it to work within a simple to use program, so that they could easily update the site on a monthly basis at little cost or effort.
